Trained and board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Anesthesiology. Practiced anesthesiology (including cardiac, vascular, neuro and other areas) and critical care. Transitioned into pain clinic last five years. Now retired. Special interest in atherosclerosis and CV risk.

Prior to med school obtained MBA-health care management, worked as hospital administrator. Training after med school described above. Served as chairman of hospital board (Shasta Regional Med Center) and president of Physicians for Excellence, Managing Partner Redding Anesthesia Associates, Founding Partner of Therapeutic Pain Management Medical Clinic.
Have lectured at medical meetings on Anesthesia Risk Assessment, Pain Management, Various Critical Care topics, Atherosclerosis mechanisms and mitigation strategies, Nutritional Immunology, Long Covid, Airway management. Published 2 chapters in a Critical Care Manual and 2 original research articles (ICU).
